About the position This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Marketing Office on Luke AFB. It is a flexible position with no guaranteed hours or benefits. Duties The primary function of the position is to manage and execute the photography and videography needs of the 56 Force Support Squadron to reach appropriate audiences, inform, and increase participation and revenue. Working under the guidance of the Marketing Director, the incumbent creates or modifies computer images and graphics, develops storyboards, artwork, and other production elements to create videos and photographs. They review and edit photos, scripts, and media to ensure continuity and compliance with FSS communication themes, goals, protocols, and policy. Responsibilities include selecting scenes and messages for photography or recording, determining background, color, lighting, and action, and using established sources of photography and audiovisual talent such as music libraries, stock footage, and post‑production services to acquire production elements. The incumbent digitizes, edits, and prepares source materials, evaluates raw footage for storyline, prepares script breakdowns with shot lists and camera angles, reviews program segments and edits media to enhance visual image quality, prepares video to combine visual and audio elements, and operates standard photography and motion picture equipment. They research subject matter, establish equipment requirements, set up peripheral lighting and sound equipment, arrange special assignments, attend community and activity events/programs as required, and may operate a government vehicle such as a light truck, sedan, or golf cart. Requirements Complete a background investigation with favorable results. Subject to random drug testing as a designated drug testing position.
