Program Overview
Peraton is seeking a senior Web Developer. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications, leading junior developers, collaborating with design teams on UI/UX, and resolving performance issues.
About The Role
Key requirements include a strong background in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, extensive experience with front‑end and back‑end frameworks, version control, database design, and excellent communication and leadership skills. The role involves mentoring, code reviews, ensuring quality and security, and collaborating with clients and other teams.
Key Responsibilities
Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding standards.
Design, develop, and maintain web applications with clean, efficient, high‑quality code.
Collaborate with designers on user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) elements.
Identify and resolve application performance issues and debug complex code.
Prioritize projects, set timelines, and communicate with clients or stakeholders.
Ensure applications are up to date, debug code, and oversee the deployment process.
Position is contingent upon contract award.
Qualifications
5 years of experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with an MS/MA; 0 years with a PhD; 9 years with a HS diploma.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Current active IAT II certification (Security+) with related web development CE certification(s) to comply with DoD 8570 and DoD 8140.03 requirements (preferred).
Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.Primary work locations in Tacoma, WA, Aurora, CO, San Antonio, TX, and Falls Church, VA. Remote work may be considered in special cases when approved by the customer.
Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with front‑end and back‑end frameworks.
Expertise in at least one key programming language, such as JavaScript, Ruby, or PHP.
Strong understanding of database design (SQL, NoSQL) and experience with cloud computing and DevOps principles.
Proficiency with version control systems like Git for code management.
In‑depth knowledge of web security practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication, leadership, problem‑solving, attention to detail, and time‑management skills.
Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, along with extensive industry experience.
Desired Skills
Experience working within Military Health environments is a plus.
BA/BS degree in IT or a math‑related field plus 6+ years progressive experience in web development roles is preferred.
Salary Range $66,000 - $106,000 (typical range for this position; may be adjusted based on experience, location, and contract considerations).
