Waltham, MA. We are looking for a talented and passionate Platform Engineering Team Lead who wants to make an impact in the healthcare space. With over 40 years of experience in the medical device industry, Arthrex is dedicated to providing safe and reproducible solutions for health care professionals. This role develops and enhances our software platform to help surgeons treat their patients. Responsibilities

Lead a team of Platform Engineers; manage team assignments and ensure timely completion of projects. Align with the Software Development leadership team on technical and process standards and promote best practices. Mentor engineers on technical patterns, coding standards, and career development. Coach team members to align their skills and passions with current initiatives. Interview, hire, and train new platform engineer team members. Conduct performance reviews, appraise performance, and resolve conflicts. Set a leadership example, provide feedback, training plans, and motivation to improve performance. Maintain infrastructure systems and tooling to support development teams. Administer shared tooling, including off‑the‑shelf software, SaaS products, and custom tools. Research and assess new technologies for infrastructure and automation, adding them to the roadmap. Develop automation systems for continuous integration and deployment. Actively monitor applications for abnormalities and propose/execution improvements regarding vulnerabilities, availability, and performance. Provide operational and infrastructure guidance to development teams as needed to meet business goals.Occasional travel for training, meetings, or trade shows may be required. Qualifications

People leadership experience or demonstrated technical leadership through mentoring and coaching. Deep experience with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform). Software engineering experience with container virtualization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions. Experience with monitoring, logging, and performance tuning. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a desire to learn new technologies. Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field strongly preferred. 7+ years of professional experience, with 1+ years in a leadership position preferred. Technical Skills

Advanced experience with Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD tools, monitoring, and performance tuning. Proficiency with AWS infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, and Terraform. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL. Experience administering Linux servers (Debian preferred). Benefits
