Location: North Portland, OR Company: SERVPRO of Northwest Portland Job Type: Full-time Join our growing restoration team and help bring peace of mind to customers after disaster strikes. SERVPRO of Northwest Portland is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Contents & Textiles Cleaning Technician with strong work ethic and leadership potential. This position will start as a hands-on cleaning role within our Contents and Textile Restoration division, with the opportunity to grow into a supervisory role based on performance, learning ability, and demonstrated leadership skills. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in professional cleaning, laundry services, textile care, or contents handling who is a fast learner, self-starter, and interested in advancing within the restoration industry. Prior restoration experience is not required. What You'll Do: Clean and restore personal property (contents and textiles) affected by fire, water, or mold using specialized equipment and processes. Handle a wide range of items with care, including clothing, soft goods, furniture, electronics, and sentimental belongings. Follow established cleaning, deodorization, and sanitation protocols to ensure quality and consistency. Organize, inventory, and track contents using company technology systems. Assist with on-site pack-outs and move-backs as required. Work closely with the Area Content Manager and team members to meet project timelines and quality standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Learn SERVPRO standards, workflows, and documentation requirements with increasing responsibility over time. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license (required). Previous experience in professional cleaning, textile care, laundry services, or contents handling preferred. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods. Willingness to work in the field as needed. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Must be comfortable working in environments affected by fire, smoke, water, or mold (PPE and training provided). Preferred Qualifications (Not Required): Prior experience in the restoration industry. Familiarity with inventory or documentation systems (ICAT, Encircle, etc.). Demonstrated leadership experience or strong interest in a supervisory role. Ability to train others, manage workflow, and take initiative.
