Director, Content Design Apply for the Director, Content Design role at Humana. Base pay range: $184,800 – $254,100 per year Remote – occasional travel for training and meetings. Responsibilities Strategy & Vision: Define and scale Humana’s UX content design vision across digital ecosystems, grounded in health literacy, accessibility, and member trust. Leadership: Manage and grow a best‑in‑class UX content design team supporting web, mobile, voice, chatbot, and other emerging channels. Voice of Humana: Champion a consistent and inclusive voice that reflects Humana’s values of kindness, clarity, and care—tailored to diverse member populations. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with leaders across product, experience design, marketing, legal, compliance, and clinical teams to ensure aligned, high‑impact digital content delivery. Content System Governance: Establish scalable frameworks, taxonomies, and governance models for content reuse, localization, personalization, and accessibility (WCAG, ADA). Insight‑Driven Design: Leverage data, user research, and behavioral science to guide content decisions that improve member engagement and outcomes. Operational Excellence: Oversee editorial standards, content operations, and team performance to deliver high‑quality experiences efficiently and effectively. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in UX content design, content strategy, product writing, or editorial leadership—preferably in healthcare, insurance, or other regulated industries. 5+ years leading content or design teams within complex, matrixed organizations. Strong executive presence with a track record of influencing senior leadership and cross‑functional partners. Deep expertise in health literacy, plain language, accessibility, and inclusive communication practices. Proven experience designing and operationalizing content systems at scale (e.g., content design systems, CMS workflows, taxonomy/metadata structures). Strong alignment with Humana’s values and a passion for improving people’s health and lives. Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Communications, English, Journalism, HCD, or a related field (preferred). Work‑From‑Home Must meet minimum internet speeds of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload. Work within a dedicated space without interruptions. Employees in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota may receive bi‑weekly internet reimbursement. Travel Occasional travel to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required.
