Growth Lifecycle Marketing Senior Manager

Responsibilities & Impact

  • Develop and Execute Lifecycle Strategies: Design and execute multi-channel lifecycle programs that leverage Salesforce’s product experience to nurture users, drive adoption, and convert them into loyal, paying customers.
  • Customer Segmentation and Personalization: Develop and refine customer segmentation strategies to deliver personalized and relevant messaging at each stage of the customer lifecycle.
  • Optimize ongoing campaigns: Maintain existing lifecycle programs and drive project execution from drafting email marketing briefs to launch.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product marketing, product management, and operations teams to ensure proper messaging, timing, and execution of one‑off and ongoing email campaigns.
  • Experimentation and Innovation: Execute and analyze creative A/B test plans to improve engagement performance and conversion rates.
  • Data‑driven: Work with the analytics team to measure each experiment, document and socialize findings, and develop next steps toward future iterations.
  • Voice of the Customer: Champion the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring that lifecycle marketing efforts are aligned with customer needs and preferences.

Required Skills

  • Experience: 5‑7 years of email marketing or product growth experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • PLG Expertise: Understanding of product‑led growth principles and experience in leveraging product experiences to drive customer acquisition, activation, and retention.
  • Lifecycle marketing skills: Demonstrated experience planning and executing programs particularly adoption, cross‑sell, and upsell and an understanding of marketing channels like email, advertising and in‑app messaging.
  • Marketing Technology Proficiency: Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
  • Organization and efficiency: Ability to manage sophisticated marketing projects and own them from start to finish.
  • Analytical Skills: Advanced analytical skills including A/B testing, cohort analysis, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication with peers and senior leaders.
  • Collaboration Skills: Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with cross‑functional teams.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: A passion for understanding customer behavior and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • BA/BS degree.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with BI tools, web analytics software, and other analytical tools.
  • Product marketing experience.
  • Expertise working in self‑service growth businesses.
  • Expertise in Salesforce products, specifically Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Outstanding organizational skills to define and balance multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively within a dynamic environment.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is \$141,300 - \$213,800 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is \$169,600 - \$233,200 annually.
