Finance Manager, Advertising Finance
Amazon seeks an experienced Finance Manager to join the worldwide Advertising Team as an Ad Sales Finance leader responsible for the Large Customer Sales Acquisition (LCSA) and US Local Sales teams, which are focused on advertiser demand diversification.
In this highly visible and strategic role, you will build scalable finance processes, analytical frameworks and demonstrate thought leadership in pursuit of growth and diversification of the advertiser base, with a focus on video products. This role will require building and inspecting various datasets to provide Sales and Finance leaders with clear and summarized visibility into revenue and operational performance. You will be responsible for leading business reviews, target setting, initiative sizing, process creation & improvement, and measuring and driving focus on key input metrics and health of the business. The role also includes partnering with Sales to highlight blockers, risks and opportunities that impact the ability to meet quarterly/annual goals.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Uphold and enforce an environment of strong financial controllership.
- Help create, prepare, and present yearly targets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly/weekly financial reports for US Local and LCS Acquisition sales teams.
- Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering and analysis, problem solving, and clear communication of insights and recommendations.
- Contribute deep‑deep dive analyses and insights during Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews.
- Act as a trusted partner to the Sales teams in making optimal business decisions and highlighting critical blockers, risks, and opportunities that impact the ability to meet quarterly/annual goals.
- Drive performance improvements across the Sales organization and build the foundation for it to scale. This will include evaluating revenue optimization opportunities, strategic programs to enhance productivity, process redesign, and financial reporting & analysis.
- Own communication and explanation of financials to senior Sales, Finance and Business management.
- Additional requirements include experience in Advertising/Digital Media, financial modeling, data analysis, strong analytical/business sense, and keen attention to detail.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making experience.
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience.
- 5+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
- 5+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re‑engineering, quality assurance) experience.
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience.
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
- 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience.
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
- MBA, or CPA.
- Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
