Rare Beauty Brands, Inc. is hiring: Media Manager (Remote) in Boston
Rare Beauty Brands, Inc., Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Reports to: Ecommerce Director
Brands Supported: Kate Somerville, Patchology
About Us
Rare Beauty Brands is a fast-growing portfolio of innovative beauty and skincare brands, including Kate Somerville and Patchology. We combine the agility of a startup with the discipline of a performance-driven organization, scaling brands that inspire confidence, deliver results, and consistently outperform their categories. Our teams move quickly, test boldly, and operate with a deep commitment to data, creativity, and collaboration.
About the Role
The Media Manager will own the paid digital strategy, hands‑on execution, and ongoing optimization for two dynamic beauty brands. This person will support a high‑growth marketing organization by driving profitable acquisition, efficient retargeting, and brand‑building media initiatives across Meta, TikTok, Mobile Gaming, Google, Amazon DSP, and emerging platforms.
You’ll manage a multi‑million‑dollar portfolio (with Kate Somerville as the primary investment brand), partner closely with our paid media agency, and play a critical role in shaping both short‑term performance and long‑term efficiency.
We’re looking for someone who is equal parts strategist and doer. This role is for someone who can diagnose inefficiencies, propose sharper audience + creative mixes, build test plans, and keep performance moving up and to the right. This role offers a high ceiling for growth for the right person.

Performance Management & Optimization
- Own daily optimizations, pacing, bid strategies, and audience adjustments for in‑house platforms.
- Identify opportunities to scale efficiently and make budget reallocation recommendations rooted in data.
- Continuously track ROAS, CAC, MER, incrementality, and contribution margin; not just vanity metrics.
- Partner with Ecommerce and Sales teams to align media performance with revenue, channel share, and profit goals.
Agency Leadership
- Lead and manage the paid media agency with clear expectations, room for partnership, and accountability for results.
- Ensure agency partners are aligned with brand strategies, informed of performance insights, and held to high optimization standards.

Analytics, Reporting & Budget Ownership
- Build and maintain weekly and monthly performance reports, turning data into recommendations and next steps.
- Monitor campaigns in‑platform and through tools such as Google Analytics, platform insights, and agency dashboards.
- Manage annual and monthly media budgets with precision and agility.
- Advocate for increased investment when justified by results and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 4–7+ years of hands‑on paid media experience across Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, and other performance platforms.
- Strong background managing multi‑channel paid media portfolios and performance budgets of $1M+.
- Experience working with or managing agency partners.
- Strong analytical skills; able to interpret data and translate insights into optimizations and recommendations.
- Exceptional communication skills; able to explain performance clearly and influence stakeholders.
- Experience in beauty, CPG preferred but not required.
- Self‑starter who thrives in fast‑moving, testing‑driven, entrepreneurial environments.
What Makes You a Fit
- You’re hands‑on and a data‑based thinker.
- You play well with creative teams and understand what really drives CTR, engagement, and conversion.
- You love building systems but you’re not slowed down by them.
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity and equally comfortable tightening a strategy when performance dictates.
- You’re excited by the idea of managing two brands (one higher‑investment, one strong‑growth challenger).
