Base pay range

$109,000.00/yr - $197,900.00/yr

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop the framework and strategy for SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (GEO), and Large Language Models (LLM), aligning with our business and product goals.
  • Execution: Create and drive the SEO/AEO/LLM roadmap, managing prioritization, execution and optimization of performance‑oriented initiatives. Drive original and authoritative content at scale.
  • Data‑Driven Execution: Conduct in‑depth technical and content audits, analyze how audiences discover and consume information across platforms; use these insights to build out a roadmap, partnering with analytics and finance teams to forecast, size, and measure impact through structured testing and experimentation.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with agencies, vendors and internal teams – Paid Media, Content, Operations, Product, Engineering – to translate strategy into action, establishing EEAT practices across authorship, freshness workflows, net new content and technical enhancements such as structured data.
  • Product Partnership & Discoverability: Partner with product teams to recommend strategic initiatives that improve discoverability, including programmatic pages, content hubs, off‑site mentions and citation, widgets, quizzes, to optimize how we show up in traditional and emerging search platforms.
  • Ecosystem & Tools: Continuously assess and review our ecosystem and tools to ensure we are set up for success, keeping our tech stack cutting‑edge and efficient.
  • Innovation & Best Practices: Stay ahead of the curve by continually researching and applying new methodologies in the evolving AI search landscape. Set and mold best practices for both internal teams and our clients, ensuring our approach is always cutting‑edge.
  • Expert Consultation: Serve as the primary point of contact for all SEO, GEO, and LLM‑related client questions, providing expert guidance, reporting and thought leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 10–15+ years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of developing and executing large‑scale organic search strategies.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of modern web technologies and how search and AI bots crawl, index, and rank sites. Proficiency with technical SEO, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Schema Markup.
  • AI & LLM Expertise: Demonstrated experience with Generative AI and LLMs, including how they impact search behavior and the ability to develop strategies for optimizing content and experiences for these new engines.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog and others. The ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable, business‑focused insights.
  • Communication & Influence: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and leadership.
  • Leadership: Senior or leadership experience, with a proven ability to communicate strategy to different leaders, lead agency and vendor relationships, mentor team members, and drive collaboration across diverse business units.
