Associate Materials Planner
Continental Electronics Corporation is a leading provider of RF technologies and innovative solutions with over 75 years of proven performance. The Associate Materials Planner would be responsible for supporting the Material Planning team with the expediting and movement of material, in addition to the tracking, scheduling, coordination, and placement of material requirements to meet production goals and schedules. Note that the work location will change from Dallas to Richardson in 2026. Responsibilities: Supports the Material Planning Team with development of material purchase requisitions and manufacturing orders to support production operations Performs variety of duties requiring basic knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems Works with supply chain/purchasing (buyers) to track purchase requisition placement and purchase order status to meet delivery schedules With minimal oversight, creates manufacturing/work orders for release to the production floor With coordination of manufacturing and logistics team, helps to expedite material movement to support program schedules Understands and works with purchase orders, schedules, bill of materials, manufacturing/work orders, and related MRP documentation With minimal guidance, analyzes manufacturing data for completeness and works through material shortages Gathers and posts inventory data and prepares summaries of data as required Monitors the integrity of Bills of Materials (BOM) and reports on inventory discrepancies As directed, distributes material according to established procedures Creates correspondence, reports, forms, serialization, and other related materials as required Performs other duties as assigned at the direction of the Material Planning Manager Uphold the companys core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork Demonstrate behavior consistent with the companys Code of Ethics and Conduct It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem. Qualifications: 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment At least 3 months of experience working with an MRP system (SAP, Costpoint, etc.) At least 3 months of experience working or coordinating with a supply chain/logistics team Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office / Office 365 tool suite, specifically MS Excel Desired Experience: Pursuing or has a Bachelors degree (BA or BS) Deltek Costpoint experience a plus Familiarity with system manufacturing (fabrication, assembly, testing) processes Competencies: Good Communicator, Team Player Driven, Proactive, Analytical, and Problem-solving Results-oriented and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines Excellent attention to detail The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location and date of hire.
