Base Pay Range
$71,000.00/yr – $93,150.00/yr

We’re looking for a designer who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative work environment, enjoys working closely with clients in the Data Center market, and can manage Revit BIM models with other discipline leads. Working under the direction of telecom discipline or project leads, you will showcase Revit expertise, stay in accordance with Jacobs and client BIM standards, create and manage content toward fully coordinated 3D models, and produce 2D construction drawings. Your role is to collaborate with other designers, architects and engineers to turn senior telecom design intent into constructible, clash‑free deliverables.
What You'll Need
High school graduate or equivalent
At least 3 years of BIM design experience
At least 3 years of relevant experience in telecommunications systems design and the construction industry
A growing understanding of how codes and standards shape design decisions
A growing understanding of design and construction specifications and their function
Basic understanding of wiring/cabling connections in relation to a circuit or a link between devices and equipment
Experience following client design and modeling standards
Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup software
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to estimate hours required for design and modeling efforts based on provided mark‑ups and/or verbal direction requests
Willingness to learn new things
Ideally, You'll Also Have
At least 3 years of Revit and/or AutoCAD design experience
Understanding of data center environments
Knowledge and design experience with paging, intercom and audio-visual systems
Knowledge and design experience with life safety and security systems, fire alarms, access control and CCTV (Closed Circuit Television)
Knowledge of control systems, network components and topology
