Job Summary

This Graphic Design Internship position is a seasonal position (January 19 - April 24) working as a team with the Sr. Designer, Designers, and the Creative Director on a variety of projects and assignments. Assignments primarily come from the Creative Director, and the Creative Project Manager. The ideal candidate is a proactive individual, with well-developed critical thinking skills who can process, react to, and solve problems in a timely manner. This candidate should also seek out and be open to constructive criticism.

Responsibilities:

1. Clearly communicate and present ideas through visuals to both internal and external stakeholders.
2. Understand the Pirates brand, voice, and audience to produce visuals that inspire our brand story while also building authentic relationships.
3. Work with other creative team members to produce cohesive content and designs for all platforms and mediums.
4. Collaborate with other creative team members and attend project and team meetings.
5. Collaborate with other departments within the organization.
6. Participate in career building exercises with fellow interns
7. Accept real and constructive feedback when necessary.
8. Receive projects and tasks from the Project Manager via a project management system (Lytho). Uploading proofs and deliverables to that system.

Qualifications:

Required:

1. Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
2. Must be in a Degree-Seeking Program at Junior, Senior or Graduate level, majoring in Graphic Design, or a related field.
3. Must be available to be on-site office for the entire duration of the internship
4. Understanding of the graphic production process.
5. Working knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
6. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
7. Ability to maintain, organize, and label all design production files

Desired:

1. Ability to work some gamedays throughout the season.
2. Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects
3. Working knowledge of Canva
4. Understanding of both digital and print design
