Description Oversee and lead the development, implementation and monitoring of brand strategies for the U.S. Pet Therapeutic portfolio in order to meet or exceed strategic and business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage and direct the development of brand objectives and strategic plans. Oversee development of tactical plans (sales/promotional tools, conventions/symposia, PR/media, web strategy, market research, etc.) to ensure attainment of annual goals

Represent and lead the development and implementation of brand positioning, messaging, and brand personality along with technical strategies in relation to the brand with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate the development of scientific data in support of the brand (disease) while ensuring appropriate strategic direction is communicated to and executed by external agencies

Forecast and monitor Gross and Net Sales for the brands to ensure brand contributions are in line with corporate expectations. Meet financial targets for the brands including net sales, discounts and market share

Ensure continuous review of product and market performance, competitive intelligence, field force capacity and needs, market research to identify key growth opportunities and hurdles facing the brands; ensure development of appropriate actions and contingency plans. Communicate insights and recommendations to the team

Chair/lead cross-functional teams involving Marketing, Sales, Technical, Market Research, Regulatory, Global Marketing and Legal; actively soliciting team expertise and input in the development and execution of brand and technical strategies

Ensure department is staffed with qualified and highly motivated personnel. Effectively administer salary and reward programs. Guide all disciplinary action including terminations. Recognize, coach and develop personnel performance for increased responsibility. Develop actionable MAG plans, provide regular feedback, and conduct timely MAG Plan reviews. Identify performance challenges, create action plans and monitor the effectiveness of these action plans

Provide input to market research on study design and interpret findings to refine product marketing direction. Utilize CRM tool to drive marketing strategies and tactics to targeted customers (CVM). Implement through the sales force to customers. Effectively monitor/measure results and through this analysis make appropriate pro‑active business decisions. Develop, coordinate and execute annual business plan as per schedule

Develop and work with Key Opinion Leaders to validate and optimize brand strategies and tactics, lead and exchange information with corporate and other OPU´s in the BI global community

Communicate strategic direction to internal partners to ensure alignment

Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations (e.g. EEO, FDA, OSHA etc.) and Company policies and procedures. When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in order to maintain excellent reputation within the community

Conduct job in a collaborative manner with Global Marketing counterparts

Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required; DVM degree (veterinary diploma) and/or MBA from an accredited institution preferred

Minimum eight (8) years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including four (4) years US pharmaceutical marketing experience or other relevant experience

Four (4) to six (6) years leadership experience

Demonstrated strong leadership, negotiation and project management skills

Demonstrated understanding and ability to monitor budget and resources

Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization

Excellent analytical, communication, creativity and organizational/planning skills

Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook and database applications

Ability to travel (will include overnight travel)

Eligibility Requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction

Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required)

Must be 18 years of age or older
