Job Summary The Sales and Communications Specialist plays a key role in supporting Seven Seas Water Group's business development, marketing, and communications efforts. This position helps drive lead generation, supports day-to-day sales activities and RFP coordination, and ensures the business development team receives strong back-office support. The role also assists with internal and external communications, including social media management, digital campaigns, content and newsletter support, marketing campaigns, and conference/membership coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional (approximately 1-3 years of experience) looking to grow in sales, marketing, and communications within the water industry. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating across departments in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- CRM & Data Management: Update and maintain CRM records; monitor data quality; support lead tracking and reporting.
- Sales & BD Support: Assist with day-to-day BD tasks, outreach, opportunity research, proposal coordination, meeting scheduling, and delivery of proposals.
- Marketing & Communications: Draft, design (using Canva), and schedule social media content; monitor engagement and performance metrics; track local news and manage Contact Us inquiries; assist with marketing campaigns, and BD-focused marketing initiatives; assist with internal and external newsletter content, coordinate with contributors, support updating of marketing materials and presentations.
- Event & Conference Coordination: Coordinate trade association memberships, renewals and key dates, assist with conference sponsorships, logistics, shipping of materials, and general planning; provide onsite support including booth setup/tear-down and lead collection, and post-even follow-up (travel required).
- Market Research & Lead Generation: Conduct web-based research, prepare reports, and support outreach to prospective clients; learn company offerings and industry needs.
- General Administrative & Organizational Support: Use tools such as Outlook, SharePoint, and Monday.com to coordinate across departments and track tasks; assist with event planning tasks and support overall departmental organization.
- Interest in water treatment, municipal infrastructure, or environmental solutions
- Located in Florida, preferably in the Tampa Bay region
- Ability to understand or learn municipal government and utility decision-making processes
- Ability to identify key decision-makers in municipal and industrial organizations
- Strong research and analytical skills for evaluating prospective opportunities
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail especially with data and content
- Familiarity with social media and CRM platforms; experience with tools such as LinkedIn, Mailchimp (or similar), ZoomInfo, and Google Alerts is a strong plus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across multiple teams
- Bachelor's degree required (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, marketing, communications, or related fields
- Experience in the water, wastewater, or desalination industry preferred but not required
- Experience with event planning, social media management, newsletters, or CRM platforms is a plus
