Summary The role supports global visual merchandising design, developing and executing visual display concepts, managing VM design assets, creating VM guidelines, collaborating with internal and regional teams, overseeing the VM Go‑To‑Market calendar, and ensuring brand consistency and quality across all visual merchandising outputs.
Responsibilities
Concept & Design Leadership
Ideate and translate brand strategies and space planning into compelling, consumer‑centric, and innovative visual display concepts for global retail environments.
Drive concept directions with hands‑on sketches and 3D modeling to facilitate ideation and an efficient design approval process.
Create and manage Visual Merchandising (VM) briefs, using excellent presentation skills to clearly and effectively communicate brand objectives to cross‑functional partners.
Develop and manage the 2D/3D product and fixture library.
Manage and update Global VM guidelines and planograms across all fixture configurations.
Develop Design Turn‑Over (DTO) drawings that effectively communicate materials and construction methods.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Project Management
Lead strategic alignment with Brand, Creative, Copy teams, and regional stakeholders on VM design, guaranteeing consistent brand direction across all touchpoints.
Work in close partnership with Brand Operations to optimize monthly space planning updates that meet budget requirements and adhere to Global VM Design standards.
Lead the Visual Merchandising (VM) Go‑To‑Market (GTM) calendar, overseeing all phases from timely brief kick‑offs and milestone tracking to on‑schedule reviews and budget management.
Brand Guardianship & Quality Control
Uphold and enforce brand image consistency and standards across all visual merchandising outputs, meticulously reviewing materials, color, and construction methods.
Proactively identify future brand needs and propose innovative VM solutions that align with strategic direction and evolving market trends, ensuring a cohesive brand presentation.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in luxury beauty visual merchandising or a related field.
Proven ability to foster creative problem‑solving and operational excellence.
Knowledge of various fixture configurations, including those for Sephora, Ulta, and other international retailers/markets.
Extensive knowledge of fixture systems and materials for diverse retail formats.
3D design capabilities, with expertise in SketchUp Pro or other 3D software and the Adobe Creative Suite.
High attention to detail, self‑motivated, and able to react quickly with a strong sense of urgency.
Excellent organizational skills, managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Accountable and proactive approach to project timelines, with strong risk mitigation skills.
