NASA SEWP is seeking a front-end Web Applications Developer to enhance the user experience and functionality of our web applications. The successful candidate will develop and maintain web application front-end, using HTML, CSS, React and JavaScript libraries and frameworks. If you have a passion for web development, become an integral part of our growing team of developers, database and systems administrators to support the NASA SEWP Program Management Office, a multi-award government acquisition contract focused on commercial IT products and product-based services.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement front-ends for new web applications to support NASA SEWP.
Maintain and improve the user experience of our web applications, focusing on usability and performance.
Review general requirements, breakdown and design system components and the interfaces between them.
Use existing design patterns to improve design and manageability of code.
Collaborate closely with application developers, content management and stakeholders.
Document the system design, component design, interface design and the code to enable future maintainability.
Adhere to project schedules and proactively resolve or elevate issues to management.
Adapt and contribute to a fast‑paced and agile application development environment.
Participate in the maintenance and deployment of projects, including after core business hours, nights or weekends.
Provide customer support via phone support, e‑mail, Service Now or other customer service ticketing software.
Education/Experience
Required: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
Required: 5+ years of web development experience using JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, AngularJS.
Required: 1+ years of web development experience using React.
Required: Experience with CSS, HTML and JSON.
Preferred: Experience writing Unit tests for front‑end using JEST.
Preferred: 508 experience.
Preferred: Experience working with Java application back‑end, SQL Server or ORACLE databases.
Preferred: Experience with Maven, rich AJAX web applications, Git and Eclipse/IntelliJ.
Preferred: Agile Development experience.
Other Requirements
US Citizen or permanent residency, with ability to obtain a clearance of Public Trust.
Must work On‑site a minimum of four (4) days per week.
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
