Advertising Director
Lead local advertising operations and serve as the face of the organization in the Midland, TX community. In this in‑office leadership role, you will drive print and digital revenue, manage sales teams (2 local, 1 remote), and nurture relationships across the business community.

What Will You Do?
Drive success with innovative AI tools: enhance every stage of the sales cycle, from prospecting and planning to presenting and closing deals.
Lead the local sales team and foster a results‑oriented, collaborative culture.
Represent the publication at chamber events, civic organizations, and business community events.
Develop and implement go‑to‑market strategies for new and existing advertising products.
Mentor sales staff, join client meetings, and model strong sales behavior.
Maintain and grow relationships with major advertisers.
Partner with editorial, circulation, and corporate teams to align efforts and maximize audience impact.
Identify market trends and propose new advertising programs and community‑focused campaigns.
Monitor KPIs, sales activities, and market dynamics to adjust strategy and ensure consistent performance.

What We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience also considered.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in advertising, digital sales, or multimedia marketing; leadership of sales teams; active community engagement.
Mindset: Entrepreneurial, community‑driven, hands‑on, fast‑paced.
Skills: Strong communicator, negotiator, tech‑savvy, CRM and Microsoft Office knowledge, data interpretation, strategic adjustment.
