Overview We are seeking an

Account Manger, Social Media

to join our Media+Influence team. This role will lead day‑to‑day social media strategy, planning, content development (concept & copy), and community management for clients, with a particular focus on the

tobacco‑prevention and public‑health space . The ideal candidate brings a strong background in social media marketing and public health or tobacco‑prevention communications, with the ability to translate evidence‑based insights into engaging, audience‑driven content.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement social media strategy; manage day‑to‑day social media channel operations for Allison clients, including organic and paid tactics.

Conceptualize and write social content based on annual strategy, objectives, and in alignment with messaging/tone guidelines and compliance requirements; partner closely with in‑house designers and video editors on production needs.

Source content inspiration and ideas based on marketing needs.

Perform community management for client social media channels, proactively engaging with target audiences and resolving questions, comments and concerns.

Measure the success of social media initiatives and provide recommendations for adjustments.

Maintain regular client contact, both verbal and written, to develop a trusted relationship and serve as a strategic partner to clients and internal teams.

Manage time and projects well with little supervision, meeting all deadlines and budget parameters.

Delegate assignments to reporting team members and provide ongoing counsel to junior staff on improving key skills.

Forecast budgets, track project utilization and provide invoice details.

Work with account teams to develop big‑picture skills in strategic planning and client development.

Actively pursue learning and professional development opportunities.

Write and/or edit materials (strategy, social content, social audits) with a keen eye for detail.

Participate in an Allison committee and promote and uphold Allison’s core values.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years of experience in social media, marketing or a related field, at a brand or agency.

Experience in social media marketing for public health, tobacco prevention or cessation, health education, or behavior‑change communications with compliance requirements is strongly preferred.

In‑depth working knowledge of major social media platforms and the ability to articulate the value proposition of each.

Past experience managing paid social campaigns, including boosting organic content.

Willingness to learn and successfully advocate for clients across a range of industries.

Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to manage expectations and turnaround times.

Exemplary follow‑through and execution skills.

Self‑motivated, eager to learn and enthusiastic about the work.

Strong writing and presentation skills with attention to detail.

Proven track record in supporting organic client account growth and new business development.

Prior management of direct reports is a plus.
