Overview Job title: UX Writer, Entertainment. Client location: Hybrid in Cupertino, CA (shuttle available). Starting: ASAP. Hours: Full-time. Duration: 12 months. This role is part of the Product, Design, and Marketing team for services including media products, creator tools, cloud and commerce services, and productivity apps. We are seeking a UX Writer to support the design of new and better experiences in our services through the lens of language. Base pay information Base pay range: $90.00/hr - $98.00/hr Minimum Pay (per hour): 88.20. Maximum Pay (per hour): 98.00. Key Qualifications Has designed for every part of the user journey Ability to write from scratch, edit existing copy, and think beyond the written word, while integrating input from many different team members Comfort developing nuanced solutions and working within existing patterns Can quickly reduce complex systems into coherent, compelling interface copy Experience working with design, product, engineering, marketing, localization and others to develop well-informed points of view Ability to achieve business and growth needs without sacrificing excellence Working with designs in Figma/Sketch and creating functional specs Can prioritize multiple projects at once Writing for UI and creating user experiences for apps: Onboarding, feature development, feature management & settings, feature education As a UX writer, you’ll be responsible for Building relationships with the product and with the product makers Writing within constraints to bring about the best possible results Collaborating with design to develop a messaging strategy and execute on designs Partnering with stakeholders on feature development, naming, and education Working with engineers to map out errors and edge cases Working with the producer & writing manager to prioritize projects Working with other writers to ensure copy proposals are consistent across services Spending time with QA, legal, and localization teams to ensure your writing appears properly for every audience Education & Experience 8+ years in user experience design or writing BFA, BA, MA, MS, or MFA Bonus Writing for entertainment services like music, podcasts, or media/social media apps Experience with subscriptions, plans, or other service based apps Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Writing/Editing and Design Industries: Technology, Information and Media Additional notes: Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Aquent.
