This role is for a Supervisor of Thin and Thick Film within the Advanced Product Center (APC). This area primarily deals with creation of substrates that are used in products across the APC portfolio.

*This is an onsite, 2nd shift role.*

What You Will Do

  • Support factories in the Advanced Product Center, and Radio Frequency Microelectronics.
  • Manage Technical Support and/or Production employees.
  • Set day-to-day operational objectives for team.
  • Plan and set day-to-day operational objectives within a clearly defined area of responsibility.
  • Assign tasks to a team to achieve operational targets, service standards, etc. Manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., overhead charging, overtime for staff).
  • Communicate with parties within and outside of own team.
  • Ensures policies, practices and procedures are followed by direct reports. Provides day-to-day work direction for team, focused on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions.
  • Provides primary input to hiring, promotion, performance evaluations, and rewards decisions for direct reports.
  • Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing aerospace or defense industry environment.
  • U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma
  • Experience working with a team of employees.
  • Strong safety focus
  • Positive attitude and teaming skills needed.
  • Experience working in a wafer fabrication factory or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with industry or military specifications advantageous.
  • Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement.

Clearance Information: This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS) , an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Location: North Texas

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
