Job Summary The Associate Athletic Director of Marketing oversees the development and implementation of strategic plans for the Athletics Marketing Department. Oversees marketing, promotional, customer experience, and sales efforts. Provides, guidance, trains, and/or may supervise marketing staff and student employees.

Additional Department Summary Oversees the Marketing, Promotions, and Trademark Licensing department within Alabama Athletics. Develops and executes marketing plans and management of budgets. Coordinates creative, promotional, and brand campaigns for the athletics department. Provides guidance and direction to the department’s planning for brand management, customer and licensee service, revenue generation, and growth of the department. Provides administrative oversight for department spirit groups including Crimson Cabaret, Cheerleading, the Million Dollar Band and Athletics Pep Band through planning and management for event performance, daily operations, and budgeting.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of marketing, public relations, communications, or advertising experience; OR Master's degree and six (6) years of marketing, public relations, communications, or advertising experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications

Must have valid U.S. driver's license.

Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies.
