Job Summary The Manager, Regional Marketing & Communications, is responsible for implementing regional marketing and communications initiatives that support the Society’s mission, revenue generation, and community engagement goals within the Midwest region. Reporting to the Director, Regional Marketing & Communications, the role translates national strategy into localized campaigns across owned and earned channels.

Main Responsibilities

Campaign Planning and Implementation:

Lead planning and implementation of regionally‑tailored integrated marketing communication (IMC) plans that include omnichannel (digital, social, email, PR) tactics and align with strategic guidance from the Director.

Partner with Development and Program teams to support fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and mission‑driven storytelling efforts.

Content Customization & Brand Management:

Support local tailoring of national messaging, oversee production of regional marketing materials, and guide regional chapters on brand compliance.

Project Management & Tactical Planning:

Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously, ensure deliverables are completed on time and on budget, and provide the Director with updates and recommendations based on campaign results.

Media Relations & Community Engagement:

Serve as point of contact for regional media outreach, secure earned media coverage, build relationships with local media outlets and community partners, and support promotion of key events.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

Monitor campaign and project performance using KPIs, provide timely reports to the Director, and highlight outcomes and optimization options.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with staff across departments, coordinate with regional vendors, volunteers, or freelance contributors, and support coordination of MarComm “Office Hour” meetings and training.

What We're Looking For

5+ years in a management or related role

Ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively, delegate tasks, and foster collaboration

Ability to analyze data, identify challenges, and develop effective solutions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey information to stakeholders at all levels

Flexibility to respond to changes in the industry and environment

Location Requirement The role is region‑based supporting the Midwest Region, requiring up to 25% travel. Candidates must reside within the region or have plans to relocate. Preferred Midwest states include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

Compensation & Benefits Estimated hiring compensation: $70,000–$80,000. Final offers are based on geographic location and experience.
