Elite Executive Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior VDC / BIM Designer to support large-scale electrical construction projects across commercial, healthcare, institutional, and industrial sectors. This role will lead advanced modeling, coordination, BIM workflows, and digital construction strategies for complex project portfolios.

This is a senior technical position requiring deep expertise in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD 3D, and electrical design coordination, along with strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior designers.

Role Overview The Senior VDC/BIM Designer will review engineering drawings, lead coordination meetings, build and refine BIM models, manage software workflows, support field installation teams, and serve as a key liaison between engineering, operations, technology, and general contractors. This individual will drive BIM strategy, improve digital standards, and ensure seamless execution from design through install.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and maintain detailed electrical BIM models using Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD 3D.

Produce high-quality coordination drawings for power distribution, raceways, conduit layouts, cable trays, bus duct, duct banks, and other electrical systems.

Conduct clash detection and coordinate with mechanical, architectural, and structural trades.

Create, modify, and manage Revit families, templates, and MEP settings.

Export models to Navisworks for clash studies and 4D simulation workflows.

Generate shop drawings, construction sheets, submittal models, and digital fabrication documents.

Review architectural, mechanical, structural, power, lighting, riser, and single-line diagrams.

Analyze coordinated drawings and translate them into optimized install plans for field teams.

Conduct site evaluations, audits, and walkthroughs to verify constructability and model accuracy.

Provide clear technical support to field leadership, PMs, and project engineers during installation.

Technology Management & Innovation

Manage BIM/VDC software platforms, including updates, new releases, pilot programs, templates, and workflows.

Collaborate with internal technology teams and external software developers to improve tools and processes.

Coordinate hardware needs and upgrades with IT when required.

Automate BIM routines to support standards, efficiency, and scalability.

Provide onboarding and ongoing technical training for BIM tools, workflows, and modeling standards.

Represent BIM/VDC capabilities to clients, GCs, and internal stakeholders.

Present project workflows and digital strategies in coordination meetings.

Support marketing and business development by showcasing BIM value and project successes.

Maintain and distribute digital coordination documents, models, and updates.

Ensure all drawings meet company QA/QC standards before release.

Provide 3D renderings when required for proposals or visual communication.

Qualifications

5+ years of BIM/VDC experience in electrical construction, engineering, or MEP coordination.

Advanced proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD 3D, and related BIM platforms.

Strong understanding of BIM workflows, family creation, model management, and construction documentation.

Experience performing clash detection, developing installation layouts, and supporting field coordination.

Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and software environments simultaneously.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and trades.

Strong problem‑solving skills, self‑motivation, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), email platforms, spreadsheets, and cloud‑based applications.

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting hospital, mission‑critical, institutional, or industrial projects.

Ability to create advanced visualizations, 3D renderings, and simulation outputs.

Familiarity with design‑build environments and digital project delivery best practices.
