Job Summary

The Clinical and Channel Marketing Specialist reports to the Clinical Marketing Manager and develops global medical education programs for orthopedic surgeons, fellows, and residents in EMEA, APAC, and LATAM. Key responsibilities include implementing medical education and marketing initiatives for spine and orthopedic markets, conducting promotional campaigns, supporting field sales, and driving attendance at industry trade shows and congresses.

Responsibilities Professional Education (ProfEd)

Develop and deploy a professional education curriculum for safe and effective use of Mizuho OSI products and surgical techniques.

Execute didactic, hands‑on, large‑scale ProfEd events in partnership with Marketing, International Sales, Distributors, and Clinical Marketing staff.

Create online educational materials and assist distributor medical education representatives with event planning and scheduling.

Onboard new surgeon faculty and manage relationships with current KOLs.

Partner with faculty surgeons to create content and continuously improve educational programs.

Support local implant partner ProfEd courses and other ProfEd projects as assigned.

Assist the Learning and Development department with advanced educational courses and material preparation.

Collect sales leads from educational training courses, lab events, and trade shows and submit to the Product Marketing Manager.

Train sales personnel, internal staff, and customers on product use for specific surgical procedures.

Gather market intelligence on hospital and clinical developments and report new product ideas to the PMM.

Develop and maintain clinical marketing materials, such as clinical pearls and sales support tools.

Provide clinical expertise and support in‑service training and sales opportunities.

Marketing

Identify key opportunities and drive engagement through high‑impact industry trade shows and virtual events.

Create and manage segment‑specific digital education assets, such as surgical videos, animations, and learning modules.

Develop promotional plans, collaterals, and communications to drive surgeon attendance for educational events.

Conduct market and competitive analysis related to medical education.

Assimilate and synthesize information from marketing, field sales, and customers.

Secure, plan, and execute side events with industry trade show organizations aligned to the international strategy.

Shape overarching marketing strategies, websites, e‑marketing tools, and other digital tactics targeting international markets.

Communicate product, clinical, and market information that supports product development initiatives.

Support Mizuho OSI’s corporate vision, mission, and values statements and maintain quality services.

Follow internal quality system policies, procedures, and work instructions in accordance with applicable regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Excellent project management skills to drive programs to completion.

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Skype for Business.

Education experience in a hospital environment is required.

Clinical knowledge and experience in Orthopedics, Trauma, and Spine is preferred.

Ability to function in a cadaveric lab, operating room, and attend surgical procedures.

Effective formal and informal product presentations to physicians, physician assistants, RNs, and OR staff.

Facilitation and professional interpersonal skills to manage diverse customer situations with adult learning guidelines.

Professional conduct in interactions with medical professionals, including surgeons, nurses, and administrators.

Knowledge of marketing support material development and brand management.

Problem‑solving and adaptability to support strategic initiatives.

Strong oral and written communication in English; additional languages preferred.

Valid driver’s license.

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, domestic and international; some weekend travel may be required.

Compensation

commensurate with experience + potential annual bonus.
