Certain spaces simply work. You instinctively want to understand what makes them succeed. If you're a designer who grasps both granular detail and overarching systems, who comes alive in physical environments rather than conceptual presentations, and who knows that exceptional, functional design can be replicated at scale, this position channels your expertise into meaningful work.

We are establishing a nationwide network of 2 Hour Learning campuses. These facilities enable students to complete a full academic day in two focused hours, then dedicate the remainder of their time to passion projects, practical life skills, and physical activity. Your responsibility is to create spaces that leave lasting impressions. As the execution leader for interior environments throughout our network, you will establish modular frameworks for layout, FF&E, play areas, and navigation. You will guarantee precise implementation at each location. You will visit campuses in person, identify issues that escape others' attention, develop upgrade plans, and shepherd them from budget approval through installation.

This role differs from conventional design positions by keeping you connected to the work itself. You won't produce drawings and disengage. Instead, you'll be present to troubleshoot installations, guide vendors, and gather insights that refine subsequent deployments. If you're prepared to transform your design expertise into nationwide influence, this opportunity delivers.

What You Will Be Doing

Build modular, self-service design frameworks for spatial layout, FF&E, finishes, and play environments that replicate effectively across varied campus settings

Execute on-site evaluations using standardized assessment tools to measure alignment with brand criteria and identify high-value enhancements

Produce detailed, visual, financially scoped proposals for facility improvements that support pedagogy, brand identity, and family engagement

Manage vendor performance on location, maintaining adherence to standards, budgets, and schedules through hands‑on quality assurance

Complete the feedback cycle after installation by recording outcomes, lessons learned, and revising operational guides accordingly

What You Won’t Be Doing

Crafting custom, boutique environments that resist standardization or replication.

Delivering specifications and stepping back. You maintain ownership from assessment through final installation.

Expecting complete information before acting. This position values proactive decision‑making, rapid iteration, and sound judgment under uncertainty.

Generating design work without constraints. All deliverables must align tightly with brand guidelines and operational realities.

Operating primarily from an office. Expect to be in the field 50-75% of your time.
