Envisionit, an award‑winning digital marketing agency based in Chicago, is seeking an
Associate Creative Director
with a design background to join our growing team. Our clients are primarily in fintech and tourism, and you will help bring to life everything from brand identities to digital campaigns and large‑scale web destinations.
Location: Chicago, IL
The Role We’re looking for a creative leader who loves digging into the complexities of a client’s business, can think visually and conceptually, and can lead others to do the same. You’ll partner with strategy to uncover insights that grow businesses and work with media and analytics teams to stay connected to how campaigns and digital destinations are performing. You’ll build award‑winning campaigns and activations, be a trusted partner to clients, and make a strong impact on the work, the team, and our growth.
Key Functions
Drive the creative vision and visual brand direction for our agency’s clients.
Channel research and data‑driven insights into well‑crafted visual work that delivers on clients’ strategy, business objectives, and performance goals.
Coach and mentor writers and designers to take their work from concept to final execution, supporting and providing strategic vision, especially focusing on elevating visual design and user experience.
Manage and own the day‑to‑day execution of campaign launches.
Craft cohesive visual stories that drive emotion and inspire action across all digital channels.
Confidently present design ideas and creative concepts to both internal team members and clients.
Partner with tech, media, and analytics team members to ensure our creative is optimized to meet and exceed clients’ goals, with a keen eye on visual performance and user engagement.
Collaborate with the client services team to estimate creative solutions within budget and time limitations, ensuring effort matches value.
Direct external partners, contractors, and consultants to support internal resources when needed.
What We’re Looking For
Exceptional designer with a passion for discovering new ways to tell a brand’s story through compelling visuals, intuitive UI, and engaging experiences.
Willingness to get hands dirty as a designer in addition to directing work.
Digital design experience is a must; tourism marketing or hospitality experience is a plus, or willingness to jump in and learn.
Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic visual thinking and a track record of concept development.
Deep dive into client business to become a highly valued partner.
Personal accountability to ensure campaigns perform well against business goals.
Great at coaching and mentoring writers and designers, especially guiding visual execution and innovation.
