Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we’re looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce’s core values at the heart of it all.
We are hiring a Product Design Architect to help craft the future of our enterprise data platform. Product Design Architects are recognized as inspiring leaders that define product direction and set/hold the bar for best‑in‑class, innovative design. This is an opportunity to shape the user experience in ways that solve meaningful problems, design with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility, and make life better for all users and customers of our data platform.
Behind each product is a team of talented UX designers and engineers, driven by the power of design to build integrated and ethical experiences that support strong relationships for our users and their customers. As a talented and seasoned Architect, this role will craft visions that enable the success of our customers working with complex data workflows and analytics. We’re looking for someone who can define strategy, prototype product visions, and collaborate across Salesforce’s product and design organization to bring the vision to market—all while setting the bar for design excellence and creating new patterns and paradigms for data experience design.
What you’ll be doing
Collaborate with the most seasoned design, engineering, and product partners—including our GMs—to drive vision and strategy for our enterprise data platform development via design.
Create prototypes that enable Salesforce to explore our data product visions with real data and complex data workflows.
Drive complex design initiatives that span multiple pillars, with particular focus on data integration and cross‑platform consistency.
Work with cross‑functional partners to define business goals and strategic vision at both the Salesforce data platform and pillar levels.
Communicate and reinforce product vision and business objectives in a way that all levels and roles understand and are inspired by.
Collaborate within the design team on systemic initiatives such as evolving our design system for data experiences, our design practices, and our prototyping process.
Establish and evangelize data experience design patterns, information architecture principles, and interaction paradigms that work across our data platform ecosystem.
Be an active mentor for other designers.
Act as a prominent advocate for Salesforce design and help build our design community.
Help guide, improve, and implement design and feedback processes.
Attract top talent, interview candidates, and actively improve our inclusive design hiring process.
What you should have
12+ years of significant experience in a leading individual‑contributor role on a product design team for data experience design.
An outstanding portfolio showcasing a foundation in applied design skills and idea generation.
Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic environment.
Substantial experience collaborating well with product managers and engineering to develop vision, strategy and rationale, particularly for data‑intensive products or platforms.
A track record of mentoring designers and design teams toward excellence.
Demonstrated experience with prototyping as a means to explore and convey design solutions.
Experience designing for multiple user personas within the same product.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred: proficiency in data design patterns, cross‑platform data consistency and working with data engineering teams.
Please submit a résumé with links and password to your portfolio. Submissions without portfolios or work samples will not be considered.
The typical base salary range for this position is $230,700—$351,800 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the range is $251,900—$384,100 annually.
