Sr Territorial Marketing Manager - Workers\' Compensation at Zenith Insurance Company (United States)

Remote servicing for Zenith\'s Midwest Territory (primarily IL and WI). This role is responsible for developing and managing the distribution force in the assigned territory, including agency prospecting, appointments, relationship management, and termination if necessary. Trains agents on Zenith as a market — underwriting appetite, capabilities, advantages, products and services. Works with agents to shape the flow of submissions to ensure acceptable hit ratios and an efficient relationship. Leads the sales process on new and renewal business in collaboration with underwriting and other departments. Supports the company\'s pricing and selection disciplines. Seeks opportunities for profitable growth and improved customer experience. Monitors competition and builds broad relationships between Zenith, agents, and policyholders.

Responsibilities

• Distribution Management: Manage assigned agents/territory with both tactical and some strategic leadership. Assess the territory for opportunities and challenges, develop a strategic plan with regional management, ensure the right agency representation, and manage agency administration (contracts, coding, tiering, compensation, and contact information).
• Sales Leadership: Develop a flow of qualified business with assigned agents, maintain a pipeline of prospects/niches/books of business, prequalify submissions, train agents on systems/tools/processes, lead the sales process with management, underwriters, and other departments, and drive acquisition and retention of desirable business.
• Brand Advancement: Educate agents on Zenith\'s products and capabilities, promote the Zenith Difference, conduct agency orientations and training, target next-generation producers, promote the brand at industry/events, and collaborate with National Marketing & Communications on development.
• Relationship & Customer Experience: Develop productive relationships with agents, policyholders, and associations; resolve obstacles in service and ease of doing business; participate in regional account management; support underwriting and other departments to resolve policyholder issues; foster collaboration with underwriting and other teams.
• Strategic Execution & Compliance: Apply logical problem-solving, data collection, and fact-based conclusions; work harmoniously with others; respond to direction and feedback; maintain professional demeanor; perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills And Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 7–10 years insurance industry experience, including working knowledge of workers compensation underwriting.
• Proven leadership and sales skills; strategic and tactical execution capabilities.
• Demonstrated influence management skills; excellent communication skills; ability to present ideas effectively in formal and informal settings.
• Must be comfortable making public presentations; upbeat, positive attitude; team player.
• Valid Driver\'s License in good standing.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is $111,002.81 to $138,753.51 . Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
