Content Production Manager – Cricut Design Space
We are looking for a Content Production Manager to lead a specialized team of Production Artists responsible for preparing digital content for the Cricut Design Space library (images, templates, ready‑to‑make projects, fonts, and licensed art).
This role is not just about keeping production moving; it is about owning a production plan, using data to help drive decisions, and continually improving quality and throughput. The ideal candidate is passionate about design tools, process improvement, and emerging design technology (AI), and knows how to turn business goals into clear, measurable production outcomes.
Responsibilities
Lead the Production Artist team — Set clear goals for output, quality, and timelines; provide day‑to‑day direction, coaching, and feedback; build a culture of support, accountability, and results.
Own the production roadmap and delivery — Translate campaigns, launches, and international needs into a production plan across fonts, templates/projects, images, and licensed content; manage training, capacity, prioritize work, and remove blockers to hit deadlines.
Integrate AI and new tools — Champion the use of AI and evolving tooling for Quality Control, content checks, and basic analysis; test new approaches, gather feedback, and iterate on workflows to help content scale.
Improve processes, tools, and quality — Simplify workflows, reduce manual work, and enforce QA standards for all content types; partner with Software, UX, and Engineering on work management tools, QA checks, tagging workflows, and AI‑assisted pipelines.
Use data to inform decisions — Define and track KPIs (throughput, quality/defect rates, coverage, rework); regularly review dashboards and reports to spot trends, bottlenecks, and gaps, and recommend course corrections to leadership.
Partner cross‑functionally — Work closely with Production, Engineering, Licensing, and international teams to support content production priorities, launch timelines, and strong content discovery in Design Space.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience in content production, operations, or a related field, including 5+ years managing a team; or 10+ years of directly related experience.
Proven experience leading a production or operations team with clear KPIs and measurable results.
High technical fluency with Adobe Creative Suite and at least one font or vector tool (e.g., FontLab, Glyphs), plus a deep understanding of graphic design, illustration, and core design principles with a sharp eye for visual quality and consistency.
Strong data literacy: comfortable using numbers and spreadsheets to interpret trends and adjust plans.
Detail‑oriented, quality‑driven problem solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment.
Passion for crafting, design, and creative tools; experience with Cricut hardware (or similar company) and software is ideal.
What makes a great fit
Bias for urgency —You don’t wait for perfect clarity to take action—you start, learn, and adjust. You believe that speed matters, especially when paired with thoughtfulness. You ask: “What can move forward today?” and push past inertia.
High standards —You’re proud of your work and protective of your reputation. You take ownership, deliver quality, and don’t cut corners. You hold yourself accountable without waiting to be asked.
Focus under pressure —You can identify what really matters and don’t get distracted by noise. You prioritize well and manage your time wisely.
Collaborate like a pro —You elevate the people around you, communicate clearly, and give thoughtful feedback. You’re low ego, high output, and your team loves working with you.
