Associate Creative Director (ACD) – Design
Cheshire, CT | Full-time | Mid‑Senior level | Design / Art & Creative / Information Technology | Advertising Services
We’re Rebels. We create, we provoke, we disrupt – because brands that blend in don’t break through.
We’re looking for an Associate Creative Director of Design – someone who can lead with vision, teach with patience, and push their team of designers to make work that’s bold, beautiful, and built for impact.
It isn’t just about making things look good (though they absolutely must). It’s about building ideas and campaigns that work across every touchpoint: web, digital, social, and beyond. You’ll drive conceptual design thinking, mentor designers, and ensure every project lives up to both our standards and yours.
You’ll balance big‑picture creative direction with hands‑on craft, rally your team around the “why” behind the work, and roll up your sleeves in Figma to help them reach greatness.
Lead conceptual design thinking across ad campaigns, websites, and digital experiences.
Mentor, train, and grow a team of designers – fostering curiosity, accountability, and rebellious creativity.
Partner with Creative Directors, Copywriters, Strategists, and Developers to bring campaigns and experiences to life.
Oversee and contribute to UI/UX design, ensuring websites and digital platforms are both beautiful and functional.
Present work confidently to clients, championing bold ideas and smart design rationale.
Balance hands‑on design execution (especially in Figma) with leadership and delegation.
Push creative boundaries while ensuring work remains purposeful and on‑brand.
Help shape and evolve Rebellion Group’s design standards, processes, and culture.
Minimum of 6–10 years of professional design experience, with at least 2 years in a senior/managerial role at an agency.
Proven experience in concepting and executing ad/marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
Mastery of Figma (non‑negotiable) and strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong background in UI/UX and web design, including responsive design best practices.
Ability to train and inspire designers, guiding them toward both conceptual and technical growth.
Exceptional presentation and communication skills, especially with clients.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
Deep passion for brand identity, typography, and design systems.
Semi‑hybrid work schedule requiring 3–5 days per week in the Cheshire office, with one of those days being Wednesday.
Applicants must include a link to their portfolio with examples of ad campaigns, digital experiences, and design systems.
Equal Opportunity Employer
At Rebellion Group, we celebrate difference. We don’t just accept it – we want it. We’re proud to be an equal‑opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all Rebels.
