We are seeking a Principal UX Engineer to lead and elevate the user experience across a portfolio of complex products. This role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on design, guiding cross‑functional teams to create intuitive, consistent, and high‑quality interfaces for cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments. You will define UX principles, implement scalable design systems, and advocate for human‑centered design throughout the organization. This position offers a dynamic, collaborative environment where your work directly impacts product usability, user satisfaction, and the efficiency of product delivery at scale.
Accountabilities
- Define and drive the holistic UX vision and strategy across multiple products and platforms.
- Establish UX principles, design standards, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and quality.
- Lead the creation and adoption of a scalable design system across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid products.
- Oversee research, journey mapping, prototyping, usability testing, and UX architecture decisions.
- Mentor and coach UX designers, engineers, and researchers to foster professional growth and collaboration.
- Facilitate cross‑functional workshops, align teams, and provide insights to support product planning.
- Advocate for user needs through data‑driven research and UX KPIs.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in UX or interaction design, with leadership experience across multiple complex products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating system‑level design thinking and hands‑on UX expertise.
- Ability to drive consistent UX patterns across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid deployments.
- Familiarity with front‑end engineering concepts and collaboration with engineering teams.
- Excellent cross‑functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in enterprise or technical product environments is preferred.
- Background in building or scaling design systems and knowledge of accessibility standards.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide teams while influencing organizational UX practices.
