The base hourly pay range for this position is $45.00/hr - $50.00/hr.

Hybrid work arrangement: onsite Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays; remote Tuesdays and Fridays.

Job summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a variety of PDF documents meet compliance standards for accessibility. This role requires a robust understanding of accessibility principles and advanced proficiency with relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Use accessibility checkers within various source files before conversion to PDF.
• Apply WCAG and PDF/UA standards when manually tagging complex PDF layouts.
• Perform manual testing practices such as color contrast and reading order checks.
• Troubleshoot and fix accessibility issues independently across multiple remediation tasks and teams.
• Document remediation work, track progress, and manage files.
• Interpret and apply audit results, explain accessibility concepts to non‑experts.
• Collaborate with content creators, designers, and project managers throughout the document lifecycle.
• Provide guidance and feedback to content creators on best practices for creating accessible documents.

Qualifications

• Expertise in PDF remediation and tagging.
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat Pro, Word, InDesign, Excel, and other accessibility features.
• Strong knowledge of assistive technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.
• Familiarity with WCAG and PDF/UA standards.
• Ability to manage multiple remediation tasks across teams.
• Excellent documentation, reporting, and audit interpretation skills.
• Detail‑oriented, with the ability to explain accessibility concepts to non‑experts.

Location

Primary location: Lone Tree, CO; Secondary locations: San Francisco, CA or Austin, TX.
