The Aparecio Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was designed as an economic development strategy to lift women out of poverty and as a community development approach to build the leadership capacity of low-income women. The Aparecio Foundation provides academic support and scholarship programs for high-potential, low-income women in public high schools through an eight-year multiple-mentor program.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Research and identify available government and private funding opportunities.
  • Maintain knowledge of proper protocols and all relevant local, federal, and state guidelines required for the proper proposal submission process.
  • Generate revenues for foundation programs and services through submission of researched, well-written, and well-documented fund-raising proposals.
  • Generate proposals and all required supporting documents in response to solicitations.
  • Write reports to foundation, government, and other funders of the foundation.
  • Create and maintain funding calendar activities for foundation.
  • Maintain communication on the progress of obtained grants with project managers and executive staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Aparecio Foundation and all funding agencies or organizations.

Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
