Duties & Responsibilities

Collects and verifies perioperative data from Epic EMR, Vizient, Press Ganey, and other relevant systems.

Prepares monthly dashboards, regulatory submissions, and departmental reports under lead analyst guidance.

Analyze patterns in perioperative metrics such as case volume, resource utilization, and financial reports; elevate findings to senior staff.

Create clear, user-friendly dashboards and reports using BI tools.

Assist in monitoring KPIs such as turnover times, utilization rates, and first case on time starts.

Process, validate, and interpret quality audit data to identify gaps, monitor compliance, and support continuous process improvement initiatives within perioperative services.

Support the development of training materials and provide basic education on data tools to perioperative team members.

Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to ensure data accuracy and relevance.

Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Bachelor's degree in Science, Information Management, Healthcare Information, Nursing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Management Engineering, Business or closely related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years of experience in healthcare or operations analytics, or related field.

Analytical problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Basic proficiency in SQL and BI tools (Power BI).

Familiarity with Epic EMR and healthcare reporting systems.

Effective communication skills for presenting data to non‑technical stakeholders.

Ability to learn and utilize new software applications for data entry and reporting.
