Position Summary Do you love designing strategic events and turning them into real business outcomes, not just pretty evenings? FBFK Law is seeking a Senior Marketing & Events Manager to join our Plano, TX office.

In this high‑visibility role, you will own the strategy, planning and execution of FBFK’s client‑facing and internal events, as well as the follow‑up and reporting that help turn those events into relationships and revenue. Approximately 75 percent of this role will be focused on events and event‑driven business development, and 25 percent on broader marketing, communications and brand initiatives that support our growing firm.

You will work directly with firm leadership, key partners and the marketing team to ensure that every event and campaign aligns with FBFK’s strategic goals and the FBFK Way.

What You Will Do You will be responsible for leading, coordinating and elevating FBFK’s high‑impact events and marketing programs, including:

Event Strategy, Planning and Execution (approximately 75 percent of the role)

Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle of client‑facing events, including Jeffersonian dinners, speaker series, hosted roundtables, client receptions and curated networking experiences.

Lead major firm events and culture initiatives, including the leadership retreat, attorney summits and key team‑building programs.

Drive industry and sponsorship activations, including legal associations, charitable galas and community events, ensuring consistent FBFK presence and messaging.

Manage the firm’s presence at conferences and tradeshows, including booth strategy, speaking opportunities, receptions and client‑hosted activations.

Oversee vendor and partner relationships, including venues, catering, AV, entertainment, photography, videography and branding partners.

Develop and manage event budgets, track spend, negotiate contracts and monitor cost effectiveness.

Create and execute event project plans and timelines, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and deadlines are met.

Event Follow Up, ROI and Business Development Support

Partner with attorneys and the business development team to design and implement event‑related follow‑up, including targeted outreach lists, personalized follow‑up emails and post‑event touchpoints.

Track attendance, engagement and outcomes in collaboration with BD, including contact updates, referrals and opportunities where applicable.

Produce concise post‑event debriefs and ROI summaries for leadership, with recommendations for improvement and follow‑up.

Maintain an event calendar and reporting dashboard that helps leadership see how events support firm visibility, client relationships and pipeline.

Broader Marketing and Communications (approximately 25 percent of the role)

Managing social media calendars and drafting LinkedIn posts for the firm and selected attorneys.

Coordinating event promotion and post‑event recaps across digital channels.

Creating basic graphics in Canva or similar tools for invitations, social posts and internal communications.

Assist with website updates, including attorney bios, practice pages, event listings and thought leadership posts.

Help maintain and enhance the firm’s intranet, newsletters and firm‑wide communications.

Support brand initiatives such as photo and video shoots, collateral development, signage and branded gifts.

Collaborate with CMO and leadership on special projects that advance FBFK’s market presence and client experience.

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field.

5–7 years of experience in marketing and professional event management, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment.

Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex events and programs from concept through execution and follow‑up.

Proven experience managing multiple projects, timelines and budgets in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong communication and vendor negotiation skills, with a professional and polished presence in front of executives and clients.

Creative eye for event design, programming and client experience, with the ability to match event tone to audience and objective.

Experience creating and coordinating content for corporate websites, intranets or internal communication platforms.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong writing and editing skills for posts, announcements, invitations and internal communications.

Proficiency in social media management, particularly LinkedIn, including scheduling, content drafting and basic engagement tracking.

Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact or similar tools.

Basic graphic design skills in Canva or Adobe tools.

Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to interface with top‑level executives and balance competing priorities.

Based in Plano, TX, with an expectation of primarily in‑office work and occasional travel to other offices and event locations.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary: $90,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience. This range represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.
