Position Overview Autodesk is seeking a strategic and experienced senior manager-level Communications Business Partner to support Autodesk’s Customer & Partner Communications team. This role will lead the creation and execution of a comprehensive executive communications strategy for go‑to‑market and enterprise technology leadership.
Location and Travel: Based in AMER, preferably Pacific Time Zone, with flexibility to support global time zones. Roughly 20% travel is required for key events or leadership offsites.
Responsibilities
Lead the executive communications strategy: develop and implement a communications plan aligned to Autodesk’s technology and business priorities.
Develop and execute executive thought‑leadership platform and program, driving external awareness and key messages, including media relations, events, speaking opportunities, sponsorships, and more.
Serve as trusted advisor and voice partner: craft executive content that articulates the executive’s vision and priorities including speeches, talking points, internal updates, briefing books, and presentations.
Support strategic communications for enterprise IT and go‑to‑market technology initiatives: partner with the employee communications team and other Communications Business Partners to amplify communications that support adoption of major programs and strategic priorities.
Lead and support strategic initiatives communications: as a member of the Customer and Partner Communications team, lead communications for strategic initiatives as part of a broader cohort of program managers, change management, enablement, and other internal stakeholders.
Manage communication deliverables end‑to‑end: oversee content creation, review cycles, and distribution across internal channels (Slack, Teams, SharePoint, All Hands, etc.). Drive consistency and clarity across all COO technology groups.
Measure and continuously improve: establish clear objectives and KPIs to evaluate communication effectiveness.
Collaborate globally: partner with leaders and communicators across regions and business units to ensure alignment of messages and reinforce Autodesk’s technology strategy and culture.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of progressive communications experience within technology, IT, or digital transformation environments.
Proven ability to simplify complex technology topics for executive and employee audiences.
Strong track record of external communications including media relations.
Expertise in speech writing, storytelling, and executive presentation development.
Demonstrated success in change communications for large‑scale enterprise initiatives.
Experience supporting senior technology or business leaders in a matrixed global organization.
Strong collaboration and influence skills across teams and geographies.
Proficiency in internal communications platforms (Teams, Slack, SharePoint) and digital storytelling tools.
Experience defining and reporting on communication outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Strategic thinker with a bias for action and driving clarity.
Comfortable working in fast‑paced, global technology environments.
Strong business acumen and familiarity with IT governance, AI, APIs & MCPs, cloud, and cybersecurity topics.
Experience in SaaS or technology‑driven organizations is an advantage.
Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on content execution.
Curious and adaptable, demonstrating ability to apply AI tools to improve communication efficiency and insight.

Salary Transparency For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $115,600 and $187,000. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
