Overview

Seeking a mid‑to‑senior level UX Designer to support our client's international e‑commerce initiatives. The role involves end‑to‑end UX design, from research and data analysis to creating wireframes and collaborating with development teams. Responsibilities include identifying pain points, optimizing user experience for European markets, ensuring accessibility compliance, driving conversion improvements, and working closely with product, development, and creative teams. This is a remote role with core hours overlapping UK/EU time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Leading on concepting and experience design on test propositions: user research, UX flows, wireframing and prototyping, visual interface and general visual aesthetics.
  • Leading experience design for new features both big and small on our international websites, working closely with our in‑house development teams and stakeholders.
  • Putting users at the center of a design to make it simple, easy to use, and visually stunning.
  • Driving the coordination and creation of business and technical requirements for website enhancements.
  • Working in partnership with third‑party suppliers to effectively maximize customer insights globally.
  • Collaborating with teams across the organization to gather needs and requirements.

Essential Technical Skills And Experience

  • Experienced UI/UX designer with full design process knowledge.
  • UI/UX prototyping with Figma or similar.
  • Experience designing responsive wireframes/prototypes for desktop, tablet, and mobile viewports.
  • Experience with JIRA & Confluence.
  • Experience working within an agile team, ideally in the eCommerce sector.
  • Commercial experience – conversion rate optimization.
  • Understanding of how different elements contribute to the total user experience.
  • Desktop & mobile information architecture and creative design principles.
  • Portfolio of your work.

Beneficial Skills And Experience

  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Technical understanding of the full‑cycle web development process.
  • Experience with personalization, targeting, and testing tools.
  • Understanding of SEO, site speed optimization, and GDPR.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Chicago, IL, with fully remote work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $59.00–$65.00/hr.
