The creative Social Media Manager and Content Creator (SMMCC) is responsible for developing creative strategies and delivering brand stories through entertaining content that gets traction and inspires engagement.
In addition to building unforgettable content, our SMMCC will also manage agency accounts from strategy to execution, including advertising. These accounts are truly the heart of community – they are community and this special professional gets to be the voice that creates a powerful sense of belonging.

This position works in alignment with our public relations and marketing professionals to support clients in achieving their goals through social media channels, blogs, social influencers, community engagement and activations, digital marketing tools and paid social media advertising campaigns.
The SMMCC will be required to work on multiple accounts by maintaining creative strategy, content and engagement. This person is not just passionate about everythingsocial media, but they are passionate about helping people to achieve their goals. We require SMCC to have superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities and daily tasks include, but are not limited to:
Develop, present, and execute campaign strategy with creative content.
Create entertaining and compelling social media content in the field for our clients through video, interviews, etc.
Write and edit social media messaging and other forms of digital content.
Schedule content and lead live content execution.
Engage on client channels on a daily basis.
Monitor client channels, trends and community engagement.
Develop and execute hard hitting social media advertising campaigns.
Identify industry related topics, social influencers and digital trends.
Analyze data and provide solutions and creative ideas to continuously raise social awareness.
Lead and deliver a robust social media marketing campaign for Olive.
Create e-newsletters and blog content.
Update web content including publishing blogs and adding content to the Olive website.
Facilitate off-site client activities including photo/video shoots, events and meetings.
Preferred experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
Minimum of five years social media content creation experience
Experience leading organic and paid social media campaigns
Experience with utilizing Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and other social media channels for business purposes

San Diego based required. This is a hybrid position that requires working in our San Diego office 2 × per week. Additionally, on‑site content creation required in San Diego.
