Overview The Graphic Designer provides professional design support for University advertising and communications materials. This role supports brand standards and strategic goals through creative design solutions across print and digital platforms. The position works independently within established processes while collaborating closely with internal partners and external vendors.
Job Description
Design and produce print and digital materials including brochures, periodicals, event branding, invitations, websites, social media content, direct response marketing, and signage.
Support and uphold University brand standards through graphic design best practices and creative innovation.
Research, develop, and lead conceptual and stylistic direction for direct response campaigns aligned with partner objectives.
Collaborate with managers, designers, editors, writers, and interactive developers to prioritize workloads and meet departmental goals.
Participate in creative critiques and brainstorming sessions while contributing to team-wide success.
Coordinate graphic production schedules and prepare final layouts for print.
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors such as printers, photographers, and illustrators.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to stakeholder satisfaction.
Serve as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
Familiarity with Adobe XD and After Effects preferred
Strong conceptual design and visual communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independentlyExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and tact
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field
Advanced degree preferred
2–5 years of relevant professional graphic design experience
