What you will do

Develop and execute a results-driven communications and analyst relations (AR) strategy that supports go-to-market initiatives and aligns with core business objectives and long-term company vision. Identify key themes, topics, and channels to drive KPIs.

Resource and Agency Management: create a strategy for balancing internal and external resources, select and onboard agencies to support goals, manage the budget, and oversee day-to-day relationships. Provide clear direction, feedback, and accountability to agency teams.

Refine and amplify Cognite’s corporate narrative, articulating customer value and competitive differentiation, and positioning the company within the evolving AI landscape.

Write compelling corporate and executive content, manage cross-functional reviews, ensure sharp messaging, and collaborate internally and externally to distribute it across multiple channels.

Oversee external corporate messaging and brand campaigns to ensure a cohesive and impactful brand presence across channels.

Serve as a primary voice for the company, engaging with external audiences, industry influencers, and key stakeholders to advance strategic objectives.

Translate complex AI and technical concepts into accessible stories that resonate with diverse audiences, shaping public perception and market understanding.

Analyst relations: build and maintain strategic relationships with key industry analysts, secure favorable mentions in reports, and create a regular cadence of briefings. Coordinate participation and content for analyst research to position Cognite favorably in market maps.

Identify and train approved Cognite spokespeople.

Proactively identify and manage potential corporate reputational risks, developing crisis communication strategies to protect and enhance brand trust.

Metrics and insights: report on monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs, and provide insights and optimizations for future engagements or external reports.

Qualifications and Experience

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in corporate communications, analyst relations, and integrated marketing—ideally in AI, high-growth SaaS, or category-defining environments.

Deep ability to translate technical innovation into accessible, strategic storytelling contributing to market leadership.

Proven experience leading and evolving press, content, social, and design functions toward a unified, high-impact brand goal that supports growth.

Exceptional writing, editorial, and creative instincts with a track record of high-impact campaigns yielding measurable results.

Strategic thought partner to executive leadership; influence cross-functional adoption of messaging and contribute to core business decisions.

Ability to cultivate relationships with key journalists, editors, and industry analysts across B2B SaaS, industrial tech, manufacturing, pharma, and oil & gas publications to secure thought leadership opportunities.
