Head of Strategy The
Head of Strategy
guides strategy and planning across the agency’s current client roster while helping shape how the agency thinks, briefs, and shows up in the market. This role sets clear strategic standards for client work, works across creative and delivery teams, supports business development through strong strategic thinking, and contributes meaningfully to agency thought leadership. This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone who thrives in an agency environment and knows how to turn insight into work that actually ships.

What You'll Be Doing
Strategy & Planning
Guide strategy and planning across the agency’s current client roster, ensuring consistently strong strategic thinking from brief through delivery
Cross‑Functional Partnership
Work in close partnership with Account, Business Development, Production, and Creative teams to shape strategy, execution, and outcomes across client and agency initiatives
Client Partnership
Serve as a senior strategic partner to clients, helping guide brand, communications, and go‑to‑market direction
Creative Briefing
Translate complex business needs into clear, compelling creative briefs that unlock great work
Business Development Support
Partner with the Director of Business Development to support new business efforts through strategic framing, positioning, and pitch development
Contribute strategic POVs, frameworks, and narratives that strengthen the agency’s new business story
Thought Leadership
Play an active role in agency thought leadership, including POV development, trend analysis, and industry‑facing content
Strategic Quality & Team Development
Establish and uphold the strategic quality bar across client work and internal outputs
Mentor and develop strategists and planners as the function grows
What You'll Need
8 to 12+ years of experience in strategy or planning, with substantial prior agency experience strongly preferred
Proven ability to guide strategy across multiple clients and workstreams in a fast‑paced agency environment
Experience working across creative, account, and production teams
Demonstrated involvement in new business pitches and growth initiatives
Strong presentation, storytelling, and client‑facing communication skills
Track record of turning insights into actionable strategy and clear creative direction
You'll Earn Bonus Points If You Have
Experience working with gaming, entertainment, or youth‑driven audiences
Deep familiarity with gaming culture, platforms, and communities
Experience contributing to agency POVs, thought leadership, or industry visibility efforts
Salary Range (U.S.-based Role) The anticipated base salary range for this position is $130,000 – $150,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as skills, experience, education, internal equity, and geographic location, where applicable and permitted by law.
Benefits & Other Compensation This position is eligible for company‑provided benefits, which may include health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and retirement‑related benefits, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.
