Director, Social Media & Influencer Marketing The Director is responsible for driving best‑in‑class thought leadership, strategy, and execution across all Social Media and Influencer Marketing channels for the Funko brand. The role translates brand, product, and business goals into innovative socially‑native programs that attract and engage fans, drive demand, and deliver measurable ROI.
What You’ll Do
Develop and deliver social media and influencer marketing strategies that support channel growth, fan engagement, and commercial objectives.
Lead the organization’s social and influencer efforts, providing regular updates on trends, best practices, and strategic insights.
Advocate for social‑first content and approaches across integrated campaigns and events, partnering with creative, licensing, product, PR, and commercial sales teams.
Evaluate, optimize, and refine social and influencer tools and platforms, scaling initiatives across brands and regions.
Establish a clear reporting and insights framework to share performance and recommend evolutions based on lessons learned.
Develop social and influencer components of larger integrated campaigns.
Manage external influencer/content creator partnerships and internal talent alignment.
Manage agencies and consultants as needed to strategize, concept, plan, and execute programs.
What You’ll Bring
7‑9 years of social and influencer marketing experience in a high‑profile consumer brand.
BS in Marketing, Advertising, Digital Marketing or equivalent experience.
Expert knowledge and hands‑on experience building and delivering global social and influencer strategies.
Storytelling ability with a strong understanding of how social and influencer initiatives drive full‑funnel marketing.
Passion for social media culture and pop culture (music, TV/film, sports, entertainment).
Up‑to‑date knowledge of trends, tools, and best practices in social, influencer, and broader marketing.
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to present strategy to diverse internal and external audiences.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and influence cross‑functional teams.
Proven capacity for iterative change through a test‑and‑learn approach.
Comfort in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment where change is constant.
Salary Information The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $121,500 – $151,500 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range based on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package, which may also include discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
