Job Description

A Product Owner II’s main objective is to translate business problems and requirements into user stories that enable a development team to solve customer challenges. The product owner owns the backlog, prioritizes it to align with product strategy, business goals, and project objectives, and provides clarity in complex projects through collaboration with internal and, at times, external stakeholders. You’ll work closely with Product Managers to understand roadmap goals, distill high‑level requirements into user stories, and prioritize work. As features are delivered, you’ll work with QA to ensure problems are solved and requirements met.

Core Requirements And Responsibilities

Translate business problems and requirements into a prioritized backlog of user stories for development teams.

Facilitate and lead cross‑functional teams to document user stories to the appropriate level of detail.

Translate project goals, objectives, and strategy into actionable work, prioritizing and sequencing development to achieve timelines.

Partner with QA to define and verify acceptance criteria.

Research and respond to questions from designers, developers, and QA.

When needed, work directly with customers and conduct market research to clarify requirements and ensure value to end users.

Clarify user stories to the appropriate level of detail where needed.

Collaborate with product management, development, and UX design staff to lead on time‑successful scope definition and feature deployment.

Qualifications

2‑4 years’ professional experience, preferably with B2B SaaS software.

Previous experience as a product owner for a B2B SaaS company.

Real‑world experience working as part of an Agile software development team.

Experience working within a cross‑functional organization and understanding the needs of multiple teams.

Experience supporting customer needs and communicating effectively.

Experience using Salesforce.

Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and select methods to obtain solutions.

Additional Requirements And Details

Travel required up to 10% of the time.

Located and working from an office location.

Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.

Specific vision abilities required, e.g., close vision for computer work.

Frequent sitting and/or standing.
