Job Opportunity: Service Writer & Coordinator

Fecteau Homes in Montpelier, VT is seeking a service writer & coordinator with construction or building experience to join our team. In this role, you'll be the main point of contact for our customers and tenants, coordinating service work for manufactured and modular homes throughout Vermont and New Hampshire, as well as apartment rentals in Central Vermont. Understanding construction terminology, building systems, and common home maintenance issues is essential. You'll greet customers, assess their service needs, schedule appointments, create service orders, and work closely with our service technicians to prioritize jobs. The position also includes maintaining customer records, tracking parts and materials, and occasionally being on-call for emergency service calls. We're looking for someone with hands-on construction, trades, or property maintenance experienceideal candidates might have backgrounds in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or home inspection. You should also have strong customer service skills, excellent organization, and be comfortable using computers and scheduling software. This is a part-time position paying $25 per hour, approximately 20-30 hours per week. The work includes desk work, customer interaction by phone/email/in-person, and occasional site visits.
