Freelance Interior Designer (San Francisco Bay Area)

About the Role We are seeking a talented freelance interior designer based in the San Francisco Bay Area to support a high‑end residential design studio. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented designer who is technically strong, creatively driven, and comfortable wearing multiple hats.
The position requires a mix of design production, on‑site support, sourcing, and light personal assistant tasks, with availability to work in person as needed.
Responsibilities
Create CAD drawings (floor plans, elevations, details as required)
Produce 3D renderings and visual presentations
Assist with local sourcing, showroom visits, and vendor coordination
Attend in‑person site visits, installations, and meetings as needed
Support the design process from concept through execution
Provide light personal‑assistant support (errands, scheduling assistance, project‑related logistics)
Help keep projects organized, on track, and running smoothly
Qualifications
Degree or formal training in Interior Design or related field
Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD preferred)
Experience creating high‑quality renderings (SketchUp, V‑Ray, Enscape, or similar)
Familiarity with Bay Area vendors, showrooms, and sourcing resources is a plus
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Professional, polished, and comfortable working with high‑end clients
Reliable transportation and ability to work in person when needed
Self‑starter with a flexible schedule and positive attitude
