A Digital/Web designer is a proactive, enthusiastic individual who will bring passion, dedication, creativity and innovation to our team. The designer will work closely with the Digital and Category Marketing teams, as well as IT, to incorporate new website and digital campaign design solutions and user experience improvements. This position will help teams think strategically when identifying marketing deliverables in relation to the company's overall design strategy. Ideal candidate must be able to deliver great work under tight timelines – and have fun doing it.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take primary day-to-day ownership over the designing of digital content related projects: web, email, intranet, etc.
  • Work with Category and Digital Marketers on visually communicating to the customer, as well as our e-commerce development team to incorporate new website and digital campaign design solutions and user experience improvements.
  • Evolve and elevate the aesthetic of website and email marketing while keeping with the overall brand direction
  • Translate designs into web code and test considering browser compatibility, SEO best practices, and/or mobile ideology
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with teammates; reach across the aisle to other departments

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of digital production process; produce, optimize and deliver web ready files
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Able to write advanced HTML and CSS
  • Clear understanding of web standards, usability methods, browser compatibility and optimizing website performance
  • Has demonstrated ability to design and develop web sites responsively, using Bootstrap or similar frameworks
  • Ability to maintain consistent branding and design systems across all web related presences • Knowledge of web best practices and an understanding of UX
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to keep track of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to accept constructive criticism from team members with a welcoming demeanor, and then incorporate changes as needed

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Web, Interactive or Graphic Design
  • Strong portfolio representing creativity and technical skill
  • Experience advocating for content and user experience across technical and non-technical teams
  • Showcase strong experience in front end web development
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS, WordPress and MS Office
  • Understanding of JavaScript and jQuery implementation a plus
