The UI/UX Designer will support the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) Socium platforma mission-critical, cloud-based U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise system. This role focuses on designing intuitive, engaging, and compliant user interfaces and experiences for Socium across NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments, ensuring alignment with Agile development practices and DoD standards. Position Responsibilities

Design & Strategy: Develop and communicate a clear design strategy aligned with business objectives and user needs. Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for Socium features. Ensure designs meet Section 508 accessibility requirements. User Research & Testing: Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions. Translate user insights into actionable design improvements. Collaboration: Work closely with Product Manager, developers, engineers, and cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and design reviews. Data Visualization: Design dashboards and visualizations for complex datasets to support decision-making. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain design documentation and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity and accessibility standards. Qualifications

Five (5) or more years of UI/UX design experience in Agile environments. Five (5) or more years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including program, project, product management, engineering, and customers to create seamless user experiences and product innovation. Five (5) or more years of experience developing and communicating a clear design strategy ensuring that the user interfaces are intuitive, engaging, and aligned with business objectives. Five (5) years of experience identifying opportunities for improving user experience and defining the design roadmap. Five (5) or more years of experience in data visualization, creating wireframes, user flows, rapid prototyping, and conducting user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Experience designing across classified and unclassified systems. Experience designing in role-based applications. Active Secret clearance Location: Arlington, VA (remote as permitted) Travel Requirements: Occasional domestic and international travel may be required for short-term technical assistance assignments.
