UX Leader

We are seeking a talented and thoughtful user experience (UX) leader to join the product team for Fidelity's private company equity management platform, Fidelity Private Shares, within Fidelity Labs. Our team delivers innovative technology, robust industry experience and expertise, and seamless service to our customers. You will play a key role in the strategy and development of our product through oversight of the UX team and hands-on design initiatives. You will work closely with product leadership, fellow designers, and the engineering team to define and develop features. Through the creation of mock-ups, wireframes, and style guides the UX team will set the visual and interaction design aspects of the product. Your primary responsibilities are: Manage, mentor, and grow the UX team Engage business and product leadership on strategy and objectives Discover and document product requirements Define user interactions and create design specifications Collaborate with engineering team to guide implementation Define design processes that yield high-quality results while retaining flexibility to innovate and evolve The expertise and skills you bring: 10+ years of work experience in product design, user experience design, interaction design, visual design, or similar Bachelor's degree or higher (or equivalent practical experience) Experience participating in the full product development lifecycle of web, mobile, and/or software applications Versatility with a variety of design processes and artifacts from marker sketches to prototypes Experience leading exploratory meetings and idea generation sessions Facility with user research techniques and user feedback engagement Strong visual and verbal communication skills with attention to detail Proficiency with standard design software and tools (Figma, etc) Polished and compelling design portfolio (please provide link to your portfolio with your application) The team: Fidelity Labs is Fidelity Investments' in-house fintech incubator with a mission to build new businesses to drive growth for Fidelity. The base salary range for this position is $126,000-255,000 USD per year. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors. Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
