Administrative Assistant II

The Administrative Assistant II performs administrative and technical work in support of Williams County Communications and Community Engagement. Examples of duties include: Delivering professional customer service by answering phones, emails, and assisting in-person visitors; providing information and routing communication and calls appropriately Performing technical setup and operation of computers, audio, and streaming systems for Board of County Commission meetings and others as assigned; attending meetings and preparing in advance to ensure all systems function properly Administering the agenda and meeting system (iCompass), providing user support, organizing and maintaining content, and ensuring meeting documents are accurate and properly published Creating, editing, and updating communications materials, including graphics, posters, flyers, and slideshow presentations Providing administrative support for Williams County grant programs, including intake of applications, verification of required materials, follow-up with applicants, maintaining organized records and tracking systems, and monitoring timelines Supporting the Parks Department by managing calls, assisting with campsite reservations and basic financial transactions, and providing general information Coordinating meeting room reservations and logistics; preparing rooms for use and providing support with setup, access arrangements, and other accommodations Providing basic website support, including updating content and ensuring information is accurate Preparing, reviewing, and editing a variety of correspondence, reports, and documents Assisting with special events and programs as assigned, such as staff photos and community engagement events Performing general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, operating office equipment, and conducting basic research Maintaining confidentiality of non-public records and making available all data and information deemed a public record by the North Dakota Century Code. Typical qualifications include: High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of administrative or clerical experience in an office setting; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening Special working conditions include: Required to attend meetings outside of regular work hours Benefits and compensation: Starting salary ranges from $24.00 to $28.00/hour depending on experience and training.
