Snowflake is about empowering enterprises to achieve their full potential — and people too. With a culture that’s all in on impact, innovation, and collaboration, Snowflake is the sweet spot for building big, moving fast, and taking technology — and careers — to the next level.

Build the future of the AI Data Cloud. Join the Snowflake Design team.

Snowflake Design is a world‑class AI Design & Research team of curious, adaptive problem solvers on a mission to evolve how the world works with data and AI. Great user experience is a strategic differentiator for Snowflake — but that differentiation doesn’t come automatically. We’re seeking a

Senior Product Design Manager

who thrives in high‑velocity, experimental environments, thinks in AI‑systems and code, and leads teams confidently through ambiguity.

You will oversee design for

Collaboration, Horizon Catalog, Marketplace, and Postgres , driving new AI‑native workflows where intent, behavior, and data models matter as much as pixels. A key focus will be defining the design strategy for the Horizon Catalog as a Universal AI Catalog—providing built‑in context and governance for AI across all enterprise data.

We operate as an AI‑first product organization: coding with AI tools, prototyping early and often, and collaborating tightly with product, engineering, research, and data science to accelerate discovery and ship with velocity.

Responsibilities

Champion a code‑first, prototype‑driven approach where teams validate ideas with AI‑enabled tools (Cursor, Figma, agents, etc).

Lead systems design thinking across the Collaboration, Catalog, Marketplace, and Postgres domains: defining data interaction patterns, behavioral models, object relationships, and semantic structures.

Partner with senior leadership in product management and engineering as co‑architects of AI‑driven systems and product and UX strategy to ensure alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

Bring deep fluency in data platforms, data catalogs, marketplaces, and user mental models for enterprise data ecosystems.

Manage and grow a diverse talent of curious, technically fluent, agile, high‑trust design team, with a focus on career development and AI upskilling.

Anticipate and guide how AI reshapes user journeys, workflows, and system architecture across these surfaces.

Oversee multiple projects and scale design resources accordingly, ensuring deadlines are met, your team is effective, and team members are set up for success by setting clear and measurable goals.

Bring sharp business strategy and deep customer understanding into every design decision to deliver maximum user value and business impact.

Ideal Candidate

8–10+ years designing complex, data‑heavy products and systems.

Strong understanding of data catalogs, governance, and/or marketplace ecosystems.

Demonstrated ability to integrate AI into design workflows and product strategy.

Ability to extract patterns from messy real‑world interactions and help teams converge on scalable solutions.

Track record of shipping high‑quality work at speed using code‑first, iterative processes.

Experience maintaining quality in autonomous, high‑trust design cultures.

Ability to move fluidly between conceptual frameworks, data diagrams, workflows, prototypes, user intent, and high‑level strategy.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to articulate design concepts and rationale to a diverse set of stakeholders.

Why Join Snowflake Design? As an AI‑forward team, we bring together designers, researchers, content designers, and design engineers who think in systems, build with speed to customer value, and iterate in code alongside engineering to bring clarity to complexity.

We move fast, push boundaries, and close the gap between imagination and reality—but we also laugh a lot, support each other through the hard parts, and make space for real human connection. Fun, grit, and high standards go hand in hand here.

We lead with high standards and deep compassion, building a culture where curiosity, velocity, and craft coexist. If you want to define how data and AI shape the next generation of intelligent products, we’d love to build it with you.
